OVERVIEW

The Success Series is a communications/productivity workshop designed for ages 12-18 that includes:

  • in-person instruction,
  • website access,
  • supplemental videos,
  • PDF/ printable worksheets,
  • source and resource links.     

The Success Series teaches foundational concepts of setting intentions, communicating those intentions, and getting organized to foster success in education, business, and beyond. Through a multi-media approach and age-appropriate instruction, students engage in self-exploration techniques that support critical thinking, communication, organization, and self-expression. The Success Series provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that encourages creativity and self-expression while introducing students to real-world concepts in an accessible and engaging way.

Activities include setting goals, prioritizing tasks, engaging in conscious conversation, identifying learning types, practicing leadership skills, building a budget, and organizing physical and digital space. 

 

Instructor / Provider Qualifications Statement:

The program is led by Tammy Kearce, who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications (Journalism/ English), with 12 years professional experience as an Adjunct Instructor at NWFSC in Communication Arts and Social Sciences, including program development, education initiatives, and curriculum planning. Additional professional experience includes 25 years of writing, reporting, editing and AI analysis/ training.

Credentials include

         Associate of Arts Degree in Mass Communications

         Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications (Journalism/ English)

Program Length- 3 bi-weekly sessions (4 hours per session)

The Goal Garden

         Invite inspiration and set intentions

         Determine goals and timelines

         Identify priorities and avoid procrastination

         Alchemize anger into energy

The Communication Connection

         Practice the art of conscious conversation

         Money matters- budgeting and finances

         Organizing physical and digital space

         Review and revise goals, intentions, and timelines

Safety Policy Summary:

The Success Series follows established safety procedures including age-appropriate materials, instructor supervision at all times, and clear behavior and emergency protocols.

All activities are designed with safety as a priority. Materials used are non-toxic and suitable for the age group. Attendance is monitored, and emergency contact information is maintained for all participants.

Attendance is recorded for each session and maintained for program documentation and Step Up For Students compliance.
